Education
Xay is a product of Rhode Island public schools. He knows the importance of funding education and is deeply committed to ensuring that all kids have access to a high-quality education and a fair shot at future success.
Research is clear: Third-grade reading levels play a critical role in a child’s future success, and after-school programs can play a crucial role in improving literacy levels. That’s why Xay helped secure over $7.5 million in grants to help build a learning center that bolsters childhood reading levels, after-school programming, and workforce training.
Once re-elected, Xay will continue fighting for better schools, improved literacy rates, and well coordinated after school programming funded primarily by state and federal resources.
