Climate Change

Xay knows that cities like Newport play a key role in fighting climate change.

That’s why he’s taken action on securing tens of millions of dollars in state and federal grants to bolster infrastructure and resiliency, ensuring Newport taxpayers aren’t stuck footing the bill for the preparation shortfalls of yesteryear.

Once re-elected, Xay will continue leading the climate change fight by focusing on protecting our drinking water, flood mitigation for our neighborhoods, and resiliency improvements to the Cliff Walk and Eastons Beach.
